Every story has a beginning...

So has this.

The founder used to be just a normal software engineer with a M.Sc. of Computer Science. He started climbing in 2002 and immediately realized that a bouldering gym would be his greatest dream.

In 2007 the dreams started to being realized as he found a perfect spot for a huge (in that time's terms) climbing gym. In 2008 opened first Boulderkeskus in Helsinki, Finland. Soon after the founder was using a normal POS (= Point of Sale) system and soon he noticed that it wasn't enough. It didn't have warehouse functionalities, serial cards, ticketing, invoicing etc. And everything had a price tag.

You want a warehouse saldo? It's 369e to open and 39e/month to run. You want to do an inventation for your warehouse? That's another plugin. You would like to do invoicing? Well, you know the drill.

There weren't any viable systems to buy either at that time. As the founder had already 10+ years of software engineering background (full stack, database systems, web shops etc.) he decided to create a web based system which would scale easily to any amount of gyms, customers, visits, locations and browsers.

So this system is battle tested from zero to multi million companies. It's used not only within climbing gyms, but also wine retailers, logistic companies, regular shops, adventure centers, multisport gyms, rental companies etc. It does a lot, but it's still simple enough to learn the basic usage on day one.

The system responses to date's demands. It uses Bootstrap, scales to different devices, uses Webpack, all the good package managers. It uses reactive components where needed and it's updated constantly.
